NACCHO's Mission is to improve the health of communities by strengthening and advocation for local public health departments.

NACCHO is the only organization dedicated to serving every local health department in the nation. NACCHO serves 3,300+ local health departments and is the leader in providing cutting-edge, skill-building, professional resources and programs, seeking health equity, and supporting effective local public health practice and systems.

Welcome to the NACCHO Student Community

The NACCHO Student Section Program engages students interested in working to improve the health of their communities through educational public health events and benefits, networking, and leadership opportunities. Students will have access to a vast array of resources, including internships and professional development opportunities, public health subject matter experts, and pertinent data to inform best practices for local public health.

Through NACCHO’s 3,300+ network of public health departments across the country, students will have access to regularly updated, experience-based information to support engagement activities.

Virtual Communities is a collaborative tool designed to allow members of NACCHO's Student Program, to stay up to date in all NACCHO Student opportunities, share ideas, discuss the state of public health in your respective communities, and network with other public health students across the country. On this platform, we encourage you to engage with other students, share ideas for activities within your community, and share any insights gained from your experiences.

Please refer to our user guide for more information about NACCHO’S Virtual Communities.
