Student Leadership

Student Committee Chair:

  • Lead Committee Meetings and Discussions: Prepare an agenda ahead of time, facilitate discussions, keep track of action items, and ensure all voices are heard.
  • Coordinate Internal Operations: Manage student membership payments by tracking deadlines and following up with members as needed. Schedule meetings and events, and handle logistics to ensure smooth operations.
  • Network with Community Health Leaders: Reach out to local health leaders to explore potential collaborations. Present opportunities for student involvement in community health projects and build partnerships.
  • Collaborate with NACCHO Staff: Work closely with NACCHO staff to plan and execute larger student events. Coordinate logistics for webinars, speaker sessions, and career fairs.
  • Create and Submit the Semester Report: Compile data and insights from the semester, summarize key activities and achievements, and submit the report on time.

Student Committee Co-Chair

  • Coordinate Member Recruitment and Engagement Campaigns: Develop strategies for targeted campaigns using social media, email, and campus events to attract new members.
  • Schedule Education and Service Events: Identify Needs for educational and service events that would benefit student members the most.
  • Assist the Chapter President: Support with tasks around administrative duties, meeting preparations, and any special projects as needed.

Student Committee Secretary 

  • Record Meeting Minutes & Summary Notes: Capture key points, decisions, action items, and who is responsible for follow-ups. Distribute meeting minutes with student membership.
  • Act as a Liaison to NACCHO Staff for Major Updates: Maintain regular contact with NACCHO staff to stay informed about updates and relay major updates to your team clearly and timely.
  • Maintain Internal Student Membership Communication Channels: Utilize email lists, messaging apps, or social media to communicate with members. Share important news, upcoming events, and other relevant information regularly.

Student Section Marketing Lead

  • Submit Student Highlights and Information to the NACCHO Student Newsletter: Collect notable achievements, events, and updates from students, adhering to NACCHO’s guidelines and is formatted clearly.
  • Assist in Distributing Information on Student Membership Events: Share event information through email, social media, and other communication platforms.
  • Create Pamphlets, Flyers, Graphics, etc., for Student Marketing:
  • Design Visually Appealing Materials: Use tools like Canva or Adobe Spark to design eye-catching and informative materials such as pamphlets, flyers, graphics, etc. for student marketing.
  • Manage Student Media Campaigns through NACCHO’s Online Platform: Develop a clear strategy and schedule for your media campaigns, creating content that is relevant, engaging, and shareable.
