About the Workshop

Wastewater monitoring (WWM) is a cost-effective, non-invasive, and comprehensive approach to disease monitoring, offering valuable insights into community-level health trends. By analyzing wastewater, local health departments can enhance their understanding of circulating pathogens, identify emerging health threats, and complement traditional disease surveillance systems.
Previously hosted by the Water Environment Federation, the fifth annual convening of the Wastewater Disease Surveillance Summit will bring together public health and wastewater professionals for presentations, panel discussions, and breakout sessions centered around the advancement of wastewater monitoring (WWM) practice. Attendees will enhance their knowledge of wastewater monitoring, learn about cutting-edge research and best practices, access tools and resources, and connect with professionals from across the field.
