While local health departments (LHDs) made significant progress in strengthening outbreak response during the COVID-19 pandemic, many opportunities remain to improve their capacity in doing so. The Population Health Innovation Lab conducted an evaluation to assess LHD awareness, access, and use of data during outbreak response, as well as provide recommendations for how NACCHO can better support LHDs with healthcare-associated infection outbreaks.
