Pre-Summit Workshops

The registration form linked above includes an option to register for Pre-Summit workshops, which include:

CDC Bottle Bioassay Workshop
Monday, April 15 from 9:00am-3:00pm. 

During this hands-on workshop led by the CDC’s Dr. Janet McAllister, participants will conduct a bottle bioassay from start to finish. The workshop will cover the definition of insecticide resistance and how it arises; types of resistance mechanisms; how to do the CDC bottle bioassay; how to interpret results; variations of the CDC bottle bioassay protocol to determine resistance mechanisms; and strategies for managing resistance.

CSTE Exploring the Core Components of a Comprehensive VBD Program
Monday, April 15 from 1:00pm-4:00pm

Through this workshop, participants will help identify key elements of comprehensive state and local vector-borne disease programs of varying sizes and vector-borne disease burden.
