Did you participate in NACCHO's Federal Action Update Webinar held this week? Let us know if it was useful. A recording and the slides from the recording are now available.
On March 1, the NACCHO Board of Directors, representatives of state associations of county and city health officials (SACCHOs) and Big Cities Health Coalition will be on Capitol Hill educating Congressional staff about issues important to local health departments and the communities they serve. You can join the Board, SACCHOs and BCHC members by making your voice heard through communications with Capitol Hill the week of February 27-March 3. Sample factsheets are available in addition to sample letters at NACCHO's Legislative Action Center. Talking points are also available at NACCHO's website (go to "Building Your Advocacy Toolbox.")
NACCHO will report back in the March 10 edition of News from Washington how many people took action during the week. Don't forget to tweet! Follow @NACCHOalerts and #HealthOnTheHill to share in the activities next week.
