I would like to warmly welcome the new members of our Early Childhood Nutrition Virtual Community! I am Aisha Freeman, a Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health Intern at NACCHO where I primarily support projects related to our Chest/Breastfeeding and Early Childhood Nutrition portfolios. The primary purpose of this group is to create a space for members to share resources, events, and lessons learned while working in the early childhood nutrition field. Last week, in celebration of National Nutrition Month®, the Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health (MCAH) team at NACCHO hosted a webinar entitled, "The First 1,000 Days Nutrition: Improving Nutrition Security for Infants and Young Toddlers in Communities of Color". During the webinar, we released our Improving Infant and Young Child Nutrition During the First 1,000 Days in Communities of Color comprehensive report. The report outlines best practices and solutions to improve the first 1,000 days nutrition infrastructure for infants and young children in communities of color.
