Breastfeeding Continuity of Care

Coahoma County Diaper Bank's Community Assessments identified CoC gaps for low-income and African American families in the Mississippi Delta. They have conducted a three-part community lactation assessment in four counties in the Northern Mississippi Delta to identify gaps in lactation support. Utilizing interviews, partner assessments, and hospital assessments, they identified opportunities for improving access to support, including incorporating a mass education effort in local hospitals and healthcare centers.
