Great opportunity for LHDs! - Fully Funded Informatics Interns Available via CCPHIT!
Hello, friends! ☺️
I'm excited to share an opportunity that the Garrett County Health Department in Western Maryland is planning to participate in this summer. We are currently collaborating with partners at UC Berkeley to host three summer interns who will support the development of informatics and health IT projects aligned with our population health initiatives.
I am hoping to focus these efforts on developing open source applications for our region (Central/North Central Appalachia) and would also be highly interested in partnering with other LHDs interested in this opportunity.
Below, you'll find additional information about this opportunity, as well as details about an upcoming webinar that I highly recommend attending:
Employer Information Session on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 10–11 AM PT.
CCPHIT (California Consortium for Public Health Informatics and Technology) connects organizations with students trained in public health, informatics, and technology. Internships are fully funded - there's no cost to host an intern.
At this session, you'll:
💡 Learn how to become a CCPHIT internship host site
💡 Hear from a current partner about their experience
💡 Get your questions answered by our team
