Thank you for your interest in local public health informatics! In 2025, Informatics Champions will be growing and evolving into a Community of Practice (CoP). This virtual community will be our platform for ongoing, dynamic dialogue among LHD informatics professionals. Bi-monthly virtual CoP meetings will feature trainings, engagement with informatics experts from government, academia, and industry, and peer-to-peer discussions on best practices, challenges, and opportunities. The first meeting will be held in early February, stay tuned for a calendar hold!

We are excited to grow this community with more public health professionals like all of you who are passionate about informatics! If you have a colleague who would like to join, have them fill out this link: 2025 Informatics Champions CoP Sign-Up Form by end of day Tuesday, Jan 28th.

Megan, thanks for starting this conversation. Honestly, all the topic areas you listed are valuable and applicable, given the different scenarios we all face. Plus, seeing interesting workarounds other departments are implementing in the face of resource constraints would be great.
