September 2024: LHD and LTCF IPC Training and Partnership

Brett Nance, MPH, H.O., and Christa Moor, MPH, RN, from the Freehold Area Health Department in New Jersey, joined NACCHO's Infection Prevention and Control Living Learning Network (LLN) to share their experiences using Project Firstline materials. They discussed how they partnered with and trained long-term care facility staff, focusing on COVID/respiratory illness and expanding their program to cover pathogens like norovirus. They also highlighted how they tailored their trainings to different staff groups within the facilities and used both Project Firstline resources and state DOH guidelines to create their own materials.
