  • 1.  Using telehealth around COVID-19

Hello everyone, I spoke briefly with a LHIT member last week about the use of telehealth around COVID-19. I wanted to flag this article in StatNews that came up over the weekend:

    https://www.statnews.com/2020/02/28/coronavirus-telehealth-digital-health-us-hospitals-companies-face-challenges/

The article highlights some particular obstacles around telehealth usage. Is anyone else facing similar challenges around telehealth? Wishing you all a great week, thanks for all you're doing to keep our communities safe.

We're doing a limited version of this for having our Tuberculosis staff observe remote patients taking their medication.  The immediate challenges I see are: funding, training (for both staff and patient), and support (I'm already spread thin without adding more technology to support).
