Has anyone else been attending sessions at the ONC 2021 Tech Forum? There was one session I went to about modernizing the public health IT workforce. Prince George's County talked about their work in interoperability, including a project for COVID.

Is this a project that would interest the group? If so, I could reach out to see if they want to present to us. I emailed to get a copy of the slides to share with you, here's a bio for the presenter:

Dr. Ernest Carter is the Health Officer for Prince George's County, Maryland with more than 40 years of experience in direct patient care, more than 28 years of experience in the fields of telemedicine and health IT as well as more than 9+ years in public health and population health management. At the Prince George's County Health Department, he oversees the divisions of Family Services, Behavioral Health, Assessment and Planning, Health & Wellness, Environmental Health as well as all clinical providers. He has been responsible for the design, implementation and management of the 1) PGC Health Enterprise Zone, population health project, 2) the PGC Public Health Information Network (PHIN), Health Information Exchange (HIE), and 3) the Consent2Share project, the first demonstration of the use of electronic patient privacy consent and data segmentation over a HIE, 4) PreventionLink, a CDC program targeted at innovations in diabetes and hypertension prevention.

Has anyone else been attending the conference? Let me know if there were other lessons learned that would be good to share with the group. Have a great one!
