Hello LHIT! I have two new ideas I'd like to bring to the group.

    1) Instead of scheduling a monthly meeting, would we like to have a demo of a custom onboarding solution that is being used in a county in Florida? We could use the time to see the platform, give feedback, and discuss how onboarding is completed at our own organizations.

    2) In our survey earlier this year, several people requested breaking off into regional workgroups. Would we like to try breaking off into regional groups at our next meeting? The idea would be to eventually use the regional teams to present to the national group.

Finally, I have a question for you all. Are there any counties that are working on merging IT departments, either due to new regional districting or consolidation? I just got off the phone with @Chris Collinge who is working on this exact project. I'd be happy to set up a call for anyone who might be interested in this topic.

Let me know what you all think of these ideas. Feel free to reply to this discussion thread or reach out to me directly at amcpherson@naccho.org.

    Sincerely,

    1) Love to attend a demo
    2) Linn county is part of region 6 - Fine with meeting with a region
    3) I never heard of merging IT departments.  Our county is already spread thin it would be interesting to see the plan.

What I want to know is: Is anyone else having issues getting products in by HP as part of our GSA contract.  It seems that HP would rather sell their products to resellers than fullfill the buying obligations to our county.  Its been frustrating.  I had to wait 9 months for monitors and laptops but they were available for CDWG (at a higher price).  Docking stations cannot be gotten at all.
