Hi Patrick, for Coconino County PHEP we utilize a system called iCAM (Inventory Control & Asset Management) for inventory management. I have found it to be very helpful, if dense, as with all systems, you get out, what you put in, so staff must learn and utilize the features to make the system useful. That being said, we had difficulty with untrained users, or users who were unwilling to learn the inventory management system during COVID-19. I don't know exactly the reasons for difficulty, but inventory management systems can hard to learn even in blue sky days.
In our use case, we have a link between the state and the county system to allow very easy transfers of supplies and equipment from the state to the counties.
