NACCHO's Emerging Infectious Disease Team, in collaboration with
CDC's Project Firstline, is excited to announce the release of our infection prevention and control quick start guide. The guide introduces basic infection prevention and control (IPC) topics for newly onboarded staff or staff new to the IPC space. The guide also includes resources for creating and maintaining relationships between healthcare facilities and conducting training for adult learners. It also emphasizes the role of local health departments (LHDs) and their work in IPC.
Project Firstline is a CDC collaborative that aims to provide a variety of infection control educational resources for healthcare workers to improve their infection control knowledge and practice. Training products include social media assets, interactive scenarios, and toolkits.
We're hoping to hear your feedback on this guide to evaluate currently included topics and resources and their usefulness to your work.
Please review the guide and complete the survey by Tuesday, July 23 at 5:00PM ET. We hope to take your feedback and implement changes as necessary to make this resource as useful as possible. Please note that individual responses are preferred rather than one response for a team.
Please email Trent Johnson at

Thank you in advance for your feedback and for all that you do!
