    Hello LHIT! We are one week away from our next meeting. I wanted to try something a little different and send a quick roundup of what's trending-and what might help your department land funding, new talent, or fresh ideas.     Latest Developments You Should Know About

    1. Measles Outbreak in West Texas Has Ended
      With the outbreak officially over, now's the time to adjust immunization registries, dashboards, and surveillance systems to focus on prevention and early detection.

    2. Security Under the Spotlight after CDC Incident
      Following a recent violent incident at the CDC, expect heightened attention on both physical and cybersecurity measures. Make sure emergency access and incident-response systems are up to the task.

    3. 988 Hotline Update: "Press 3" Removed
      The LGBTQ+ youth-specific routing option has been discontinued. Departments should review and modify routing logic and tracking systems to ensure new alternatives are effective and equitable.

    4. ONC's New Guidance Incoming
      Ethical hacking and penetration testing are becoming non-negotiable. Plus, the ONC has released updated interoperability indices and USCDI v6 guidance-time to start catching up.

      CDC's multi-year PHIG program has allocated nearly $4.5 billion to state and local health departments to bolster workforce, foundational capabilities, and data modernization efforts. More on their technical assistance
