  • 1.  Ideas on how to invest in tech for state and local government

    Hello,

I cam across this article the other day and figured it could help out the group. With more and more grant money coming out for state and local governments to invest on Data Modernization, this looked like a good read. If you are struggling to find ways to best invest in tech now to get the best long term benefits I would take a look.

I was speaking with another one of our members the other day who specializes in helping local health departments find the best solutions for the upcoming data modernization push and it's definitely something everyone should start focusing on, so the opportunity isn't wasted. If you have any thoughts or other ideas feel free to share, every little bit helps.

Thank you for sharing. We too have been looking for best long-term ways to invest in Data Modernization, and have been looking mainly at moving more of our data to the cloud.

I'm newer in this area of public health IT, and found this CDC Data Modernization Initiative Snapshot as a good way to generate ideas among my team for ways we can modernize our data: 2022 DMI Snapshot | CDC

If one thing is clear, it's that data saves lives. And better data saves more lives. But what does "better data" really look like? And what are the actual, on-the-ground steps we can take to get it? What Does Data Modernization Look Like?
