Happy holidays, LHIT! This year has flown by and I'm looking forward to our next call to hear what's been going on at your local health departments, which we just scheduled for
Thursday, January 12, at 1 pm ET.
We'll hear from
Dr. José Perez-Ramos from the University of Rochester Research Labs on his innovative project to address COVID-19 information gaps using a
chatbot. He's also been doing some innovative work with
telehealth.
Also, we've had a few new faces added to this group since last month, so I wanted to give everyone a chance to introduce themselves.
Feel free to introduce yourselves, where you work, what you do, and if you have anything interesting to share with the group.
I can kick off -- I'm Angie McPherson, a senior website specialist at the National Association for County & City Health Officials (NACCHO). I work alongside the IT Team to help with our website properties and also run this Community of Practice. Something I'd like to share with the group is that I recently came across
this article in Statescoop on Local Health IT leaders still struggling to get attention for cybersecurity issues. Boy, do I have a story for you on cybersecurity for our next meeting.
Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and I'm really excited to catch up in January.
