    Posted 20 days ago

The Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) is hosting the webinar Strengthening Health Care Cyber Resilience: Risk Identification and Site Criticality (RISC) 2.0 on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM EST . This session will address how cyber incidents can disrupt patient care and why health care leaders need clarity when evaluating their organization's defenses. The webinar will bring together experts to explain the RISC 2.0 Cybersecurity Module and its role in helping hospitals and health care facilities assess vulnerabilities and address gaps in cyber defenses. The module guides users through targeted questions on policies, controls, and practices and scores responses against the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 and Health Care and Public Health Cybersecurity Performance Goals. The assessment produced is intended to help organizations prioritize improvements and focus cybersecurity investments on key areas. Attendance is free, but registration is required. For additional information and registration details, refer to the official event page.

Thanks so much for sharing this, @Robert Bastani-this is incredibly timely. I'll add it to the LHIT calendar and plan to attend.

This feels especially relevant given the ongoing increase in cyber threats targeting the public health sector. If you're working in IT, informatics, or leadership, this is a great opportunity to better understand how to evaluate and strengthen your organization's defenses.
