The Florida Department of Health (FDOH) Health Care-Associated Infection (HAI) Prevention Program would like to invite you to join the 2024-25 Cohort for the Certification in Infection Control (CIC) Study Group. This cohort will be geared towards anyone interested in taking the offered Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology exams. These exams include, but are not limited to the CIC, LTC-CIP, and the a-IPC.
Important information:
- Date: The first meeting date is November 1, 2024. The cohort will last a total of 28 weeks (excluding observed holidays).
- Time: Friday 3-4 p.m. Eastern time
- Location: Virtual via Microsoft Teams
- Who will be conducting this training? This cohort will be conducted by the Florida HAI Prevention Program. Facilitators include: Barbara Russell MPH, RN, BS, CIC, FAPIC (Infection Prevention Education Specialist), and Alyah Bridges MPH, CPH, CIC (Multi-County Infection Preventionist).
- What is the benefit of becoming certified? Certification represents your knowledge of infection prevention and control functions and commitment to contribute to improvements within the field.
