Taylarr Lopez currently serves as Publications Manager for the National Association of County and City Health Officials. In this role, she manages the production of NACCHO’s flagship newsletters and oversees the production of the organization’s publications. In addition, she also manages NACCHO’s social media accounts and plans, coordinates, and implements other internal and external communications programs and projects. She has helped bolster NACCHO’s social media channels and serves as Communications Lead for NACCHO’s annual conference.
Previously, she held a position as Communications Coordinator at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. In this role, she was responsible for developing social media strategies to advance project messaging and developed content for the office’s website, fact sheets, one-pagers, and newsletters.
Taylarr is originally from the North Carolina coast and holds a bachelor’s in communications from Bowie State University. During her time as an undergraduate student, she worked with Radio One’s Majic 102.3 radio station and Prince George’s Community Television. Taylarr also serves as Vice-Chair for IMPACTdmv, a non-profit based in Prince George’s County, MD, which aims to enrich the personal and professional growth of youth and young adults.
