    Dear Colleagues:

The Health and Medicine Division (HMD) of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is searching for experts in the scientific, technical, and medical professions to be considered for a committee for the study titled "Complementary Feeding Interventions for Infants and Young Children under Age 2: Scoping of Promising Interventions to Implement at the Community or State-level." The committee's task is to identify promising interventions aimed at improving infant and young child feeding behaviors and practices that could be scaled up or implemented at community or state-level.

Experts in the fields of public health nutrition, infant and child nutrition and feeding practices, federal food and nutrition programs, early childhood education, equity and access in health care, epidemiology, dietetics/community nutrition, nutritional requirements during infancy and early childhood, communications, and systematic reviews are needed for the committee. Suggestions are sought for qualified individuals in all sectors of the scientific and technical community.

I would be most grateful if you could, by September 16 2022, provide me with the names of any individuals you think we should consider for this important task. You may provide suggestions via our online form (survey.alchemer.com/s3/7012116/...) or email me directly (kdelaney@nas.edu). Please include as much information as you have available about the individuals you are suggesting, including full name, affiliation, and current contact information, as well as your reason(s) for nominating them.

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine are committed to enhancing diversity and inclusion in order to strengthen the quality of our work. Diverse perspectives contribute to finding innovative approaches and solutions to challenging issues. We encourage the nomination of volunteers who reflect the populations we serve and also welcome in particular nominations of candidates from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, women, and early- and mid-career professionals.

Thank you in advance for your time.
