NACCHO’s newest Virtual Community is designed to connect you with other public health communicators and to tools and resources to build local health department communications capacity. The Virtual Community is the successor to the online Public Health Communications Exchange, and will allow you to:
· Access, share, and download communications tools, templates, and resources (e.g., social media policies, press releases, stock photos, policy statements, messaging guides);
· Establish partnerships and working relationships with peers located both within and outside of your region or state;
· Engage in discussions to share best practices and challenges related to a variety of communications topics (e.g., cultural competence, risk and emergency communication, marketing and branding); and
· Share in-person and virtual training opportunities to build communications skills.
