  • 2023 Regional Virtual Summits

    Dear Local Health Department Recipients,

Please join NACCHO for an upcoming OT21-2103 technical assistance offering (virtual regional summits) on Addressing the Gap: Embedding Health Equity into Maternal Health Programming!

Each of the five virtual regional summits will highlight how local health departments can take action on the current maternal health crisis and give attendees the opportunity to hear from public health leaders in a panel discussion followed by a peer learning activity.

These summits provide a unique opportunity and a safe space to analyze the health inequities and discriminatory systems that birthing persons encounter throughout the maternal care experience. Discussions will focus on local, state, and national policies and initiatives, community engagement, planning and preparation. These virtual events will share timely and relevant information to advance COVID-19 Health Disparities strategies and help transform those systems that play a crucial role in supporting maternal health.

Each region will convene for a 2-hour virtual summit. Please register for your region here:

    October 10th: Northeast

    October 10th: West

    October 11th: South/Southeast

    October 11th: Southwest

    October 12th: Midwest
