Throughout my career, I have tried to marry my professional expertise with my passion for supporting families of young children and promoting policies and programs that help vulnerable communities. I have extensive expertise in the areas of maternal and child health policy, services for military families, early care and education, behavioral support services, and quality improvement. As a public health professional, my work has focused on using data-informed program planning to address health disparities facing at-risk women, . I am a writer, trainer, public speaker, manager, and policy analyst. I am also skilled in bringing together groups with diverse interests and needs to help them achieve common objectives. In addition to my professional life, I am a twin mom (of college freshmen), a now-retired Army spouse, rescue mom (Quincy the Airedale and Abigail the black Lab) and avid gardener.
